Not this one
This was quite refreshing for a French comedy, although it’s not my favorite genre. French comedies usually start out funny and suddenly turn serious before the end. No one has a hidden side — Benoît remains clumsy and cowardly from beginning to end.
His brothers are greedy and downright evil
The fake fiancée has no social graces from beginning to end. Only the parents are the same standard rich and confused couple you see in most French comedies. They were the least interesting because their arc is totally predictable in such films.
Its future will be the standard Sunday night movie on French television
I’m glad I have an unlimited movie pass, though, because ticket prices have become so high at the cinema that I would have been unhappy to have spent much money on it.
