Lauren Lavera stated that she’s only seen part of this movie
Story
A budding art restorer travels to a small Italian town to restore a medieval painting to its former glory. What he doesn’t know is that he’s putting his life in danger from an evil curse and a monster born of myth and brutal pain.
It’s like lemonade
The Well, played by Ginny Vee. Little substance.
With gore, you can’t even do that
If it weren’t for the disgusting, sickening gore, it would be something to put in the background and watch from time to time. Not once does it make you feel horrified, terrified, or excited in any way, and it doesn’t grab you with intrigue, characters, or plot.
You feel calm and occasionally disgusted
If the genre was called “disgust” instead of “horror” it would make sense. However, it’s not well done this way.
If you want to see gore, go see a slaughterhouse
The cinematography is basic, the acting is okay, the audio is somewhere between irritating and incomprehensible. At one point, a character repeatedly calls out “Tony.” And I could have sworn it was “Charlie.” It gets 4 stars, because while it’s nauseating and pointless, it’s not actively evil or harmful, and the plot is actually interesting.
