Let a beggar’s cloak wrap you in its fantastical story
Sure, it was disturbing, but then the author is very poetic in bringing out old curses and stuff like that… or tragic love, human nature… It all comes from a master of the genre. I was swept up in almost everything, not in the first episode, I was intrigued then, and I hope you’ll let the alchemy/magic happen like I did.
Like a “Game of Thrones” fever
It all comes back to history and memory and how unreliable and tangled they are and what we do with them. I want to read the novel again, right now!
Sad, but beautiful
The difference is that I can’t read the original, only a translation. It’s not a children’s Christmas Dickens tale, but a tale for adults.
