Story
It follows long-time rivals Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as their rivalry comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner had previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used to represent Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC TV adaptation of Poldark. Absolutely stunning – the wit, the innuendo, the humour, the characters, the 80s-era relevance, the cast, the locations – it’s perfection in a TV show. This type of TV has been missing for at least the last decade – it has it all. Sentimentality and joy, tears of laughter and sadness, nostalgia on steroids and a cast who play their parts to perfection. I don’t have a single bad word to say about this show. Big thumbs up to the writers, actors, crew and everyone else involved. I’m already watching this film for the second time because there are too many memorable lines to catch on the first time. That’s how it’s done!
