After a traumatic incident, young medical student James Hayman (Namir Smallwood) transfers to a rural hospital to start over. Dr. Harrison (veteran stage and film actor Michael Potts) suggests he take classes that focus on bedside manners and building a deeper connection with his patients. The demons of James’ past begin to catch up with him when he is assigned to the case of a young asthmatic patient (Sidney Flanigan, NEVER SOMETIMES ALWAYS) who is experiencing mysterious symptoms. His grip on reality begins to falter as his disturbing nightmares, fear-fueled speculations, and physical injuries collide with the brutal realities of the medical world. Director Alex Thompson assembles a strong ensemble of seasoned character actors for this sequel to SAINT FRANCES – and precursor to GHOSTLIGHT – in this humanistic and unconventional vision of the genre.
