A maniac named Art the Clown terrorizes two friends and anyone who gets in his way on Halloween. David Howard Thornton was the sixth person to audition for the role of Art the Clown after Mike Giannelli dropped out of the role and stopped acting altogether. During his audition, he pretended to taste the blood of his beheaded victim, but then added salt to it to make it taste better.

Have you ever watched a horror movie where the characters make SO MANY STUPID CHOICES that you stop hoping they’ll get out of it and instead hope their suffering ends?
Yes, this movie is like that
Art the Clown is a plus because he’s genuinely scary – great costume/makeup and great characterization on his part. But the victims ultimately committed a sin, so I didn’t have to worry about whether they’d live or die. These weren’t bad concepts, just poorly executed (no pun intended).

The movie brings us back to traditional slasher movies in terms of the mystery of the killer and their motivations, so in a slasher movie this doesn’t bother me at all, but the characters’ stupid choices are awful, regardless of the genre of the movie. Art the Clown, Pennywise, and killer clowns are just a few of the comical creatures that give us the creeps.
