Morihito Otogi, a high school student of ogre descent, enjoys a peaceful, ordinary life until his childhood friend Niko moves in with him. Niko is a trainee witch and chooses Morihito as his familiar. While Niko is excited to be reunited with her old friend and lover, Morihito is entrusted with the dangerous task of protecting her from a predicted disaster.
